Hi, my name is Julie, and I am the new cook (started Summer 2005) at the 'Welcome'. I moved to Knutsford from Stockport 2 years ago. I am married to Stuart, who recently underwent surgery on his spine, and I have four children - Lee who works in the town, Richard who has just sat his G.C.S.E's, Tuesday who is at Rudheath School of Performing Arts, and Thomas who is at Bexton Junior School.

I started cooking at the 'Welcome' a couple of weeks ago, but Richard, Debbie and everyone else have been so friendly and welcoming I feel like I've been there for years!!! I would like to thank them for that. I was so pleased to get the job and couldn't believe how perfect it was for me - I get to cook for people - good, tasty food (even if I do say so myself!), serve the customers and have a really lovely time in the process.

I would love to see you there. Please come up, even if it's just for a cup of tea. We always have time to talk, and lend an ear if you need one. The sign outside says, "We don't serve fast food, we serve food as fast as we can". I'd like to add an extra bit to that - "With a smile and a friendly word."
