Incidentally, among those who've visited us here over the years has been John Wesley himself, so you're in good company. He actually addressed the inhabitants of Knutsford from those steps. Can you imagine him arriving on his horse? He may even have used the mounting stone which can still be seen just round the corner here - have a look for it sometime.
