Korea was Buddhist country, since long time ago. But more than 120 years ago, a Minister called John Ross tried to come to Korea to send God's word. (I heard that he transposed Chinese bible to Korean in China). But because of seclusionism he was killed before he actually came in to Korea. Though the bible that he was carrying was flung into the river, which makes borders of China and North Korea.

One man picked up that bible from the river and used it as a wall paper. Time has been passed. And his son, who can read the words, found out that there was a story on his house wall and started to read. It was Luke's Gospel. And also his friend became Christian!!

So there were a few Christians already before ministry actually came. Then ministry from America came and baptized them. The gospel spread rapidly to all over the country. One of the examples there was the great reconstruction movement in Pyung yang. It happened in one of the big city in North Korea. Few Christians used small house as a church and prayed for the revival service. But 40,000 people came to listen about God's word so the minister had to preach in the roof.

Soon the place was full of Holy Spirit and people started to repent and cry. (The schools and shops had been closed because of people crying).

That incident is still amaze many people - it is actually very long and shocking story. Anyway church has been growing since then and there is many Christian and churches in South Korea now. (I heard that it is not allowed to believe God in North Korea).

On 7th August 2004 in Jerusalem, there will be a big Christian conference for 4 days. Through God's strength and wisdom, one Korean minister received consent from Israel and Palestine. (There is a very long and shocking story, too). They also did a kind of warming-up conference in Palestine last Christmas time. They also preparing prayer-walks in border of Israel and Palestine. Amazing thing is two nations both agreed about this Christian festival. It is the first time that Christian conference is happening in there.

3,000 young Koreans are going (they paid their own money to participate which cost about 1000 pound for one person, and I'm sure that everyone will see how God will fill up the money). 1000 churches are supporting by praying. 100,000 people are praying for this God's project.

Moses and Paul said that the salvation to those who are not Jews make the Jews jealous (Romans 11.11, Deuteronomy 32:21).

Let's show them how we love God. And let's pray about this. God uses small and weak things to show His power and His glory. And I'm sure that every change makes it much easier to spread gospel and open the mind of Middle Asia.

God's words and plans are always standing straight. We must see them and pray for his plans to let revival come faster. And must fix our thought to God's thought.
