Most people know the famous painting of Christ knocking on the door of a house and saying, "Behold I knock".
We are told on good authority that when the artist had completed this painting he brought his young son in to view it. The lad gazed intently for a while at the new picture and then shook his head. "It's great - but there's one mistake. You've forgotten something".
His father frowned. "What have I forgotten?"
"You've forgotten to put a latch on the door! Nobody could get in!" Exclaimed the lad.
"Oh no", replied his father quietly, "There's a latch on the door but it's on the inside".
It was the artist's way of showing that only you and I can open the door to HIM.
When Jesus knocks at your door will you let Him in?
